FFXIV Cosmic Exploration | Missions & Crafting

Complete Endwalker and reach level 10 in a crafting or gathering class. Begin the introductory quests with Namingway in Old Sharlayan. The Moongate Hub in Sinus Ardorum is the starting point; speak with Pilotingway at the Cosmopoint to travel to unlocked destinations.

Accept missions through the exothech tablet and earn rewards based on your crafting or gathering results. Chained missions unlock after gold results; other missions depend on time, weather or emergencies. Listed conditions do not predict emergency events. Consecutive gold results in class A or higher (including EX and EX+) or provisional missions increase your gold streak.

Cosmic tools are crafting and gathering main-hand tools upgraded through exploration. Earn research data with the matching class and check progress with Researchingway. Research data cannot be transferred between classes; required data varies by upgrade stage. The rotation calculator excludes cosmic tool bonuses and mission-specific actions.

Apply as a mech pilot with an entry ticket, or join as ground support through JOIN EVENT at the site. Five pilots are selected by lottery; unsuccessful applicants receive their ticket back. Stellar development events occur as exploration progresses and can be joined through JOIN F.A.T.E. These events are not guaranteed fixed-time spawns.

Cosmic credits are shared across destinations. Lunar, Phaenna, Oizys and Auxesia credits are destination-specific and can be used for entry tickets and Cosmic Fortune. Planetary EX+ missions award exploration vouchers; Auxesia mastership missions also award vouchers. Exchange items and fortune prizes differ by destination. Listed mission reward values are base values, before evaluation and other bonuses.

Available on Oizys and Auxesia. Build gold streaks in class A or higher or provisional missions to obtain drone chips, then exchange them with Kaede for energy cells. Use a cell to locate and investigate a relic, obtain an ancient record and return to Kaede for appraisal. Relic locations and appraisal results are not fixed guaranteed rewards.

On Auxesia, complete the final cosmic tool upgrade for a class to unlock its mastership missions. These missions focus on accumulating score within a time limit and earning class-specific mastership points rather than a gold grade. Intermediate goals extend time and increase scoring bonuses. The crafting calculator covers one craft and does not optimize total mastership score.
