The bodies of water found on Phaenna can possess greatly varied properties, such as in the concentration of silicon. Consequently, it is difficult to recreate the environmental conditions needed to obtain reliable results when conducting research on aquatic life-forms. To overcome this issue, our researchers require that specimens be delivered from the field in as fresh a state as possible. The less time required in their procurement, the fresher they are likely to be.
